A verbal report of last nights revel:

Tabletop curling, Heat 1: 

Lined up on the oche we have Raal, Jeremy and Roger. Raal goes first. It’s a strong effort, using all of his experience to fall within a single inch of the mark. 

Jeremy goes next. The expectation that normally surrounds this player is misplaced today; he chokes. 

Roger takes his place and makes his move. His stone passes Jeremy’s but is still a couple of inches short of Raal’s exceptional effort.

Raal goes through to the final who will he meet? We’re about to find out.

Heat 2

The crowd are non-existent as Scott, Chris and Simon step up. 

Scott makes his play and it’s almost amazing. Chris and Simon have work to do. Chris’ effort falls slightly short of Scott’s and way short of his own standards. Simon has everything to play for. Can he do something special? No he can’t.

The Final

Perhaps unexpected and now even slightly anticipated. Raal and Scott face off. Who will have the stones to win?

Scott’s effort is promising leaving Raal with a question to answer. Raal gets the answer profoundly wrong. @Scott Longley is our champion and will select next.
