Record amended 22nd December:
The report does not do justice to what was an intensely strange affair. From the first moment there was a feeling of bewilderment as it was not entirely clear as to how the selection was to work. Yet Chris moved space with such confidence that it was the viewer that was left feeling as though the befuddlement was in their own mind. As characters were eliminated some logic appeared to be at work until that is, with the same breezy confidence, Chris began to announce as winners those that had been palpably demonstrated as eliminated moments before.
Stranger still, by slight of hand or by the work of some dark fate, the cards themselves appeared to be defying cosmic justice. This was best illustrated in the final two cards which can only have had the names of Roger and Jeremy on them. And yet, somehow the final card when turned bore an entirely different name. It was Raal. Whilst this may be seen as unfair. It is worth pointing out that Raal had previously been eliminated after appearing to win in round 2. Make of it what you will.
Part David Blane, part Russian election, this reveal will live long in the memory...
